The Passport of the Future

Every once in a while an issue surfaces that defies a nice neat and simple clear cut position. When the U.S. Congress set a deadline of Oct. 26, 2004 for upgrading passports and visas to include biometrics, most observers paid little attention. Surely, the idea that a behemoth of all data bases, that list and track individuals, smells sour from the get go. Experience proves all too well, that when a government, any government secures the effective method of advanced people control, the process will be unavoidable abuse.

Judge Roy Moore

What kind of culture do you want? A secular society where the lowest level of debasement is the standard that all must accept? Well, the definition of secularism is a doctrine that rejects religion and religious considerations. There is no clearer example of what it means to adopt that vile cultural road than the confrontation over Alabama’s Supreme Court Chief Justice Judge Roy S. Moore, struggle for Liberty and faith in God. The monument now residing in the Judicial Building in Montgomery, if the federal magistrate has its way, is ready for banishment to Mt. Sinai!

Alas, a Democrat to Support!

Even those Americans who proudly wear the label Democrat, must be a little embarrassed with the “Know Nothing” candidates that are seeking the chance to run against the Crawford Shrub. The seven dwarfs from another race have been vindicated, there are worse presidential aspirants. No amazement from the party of sanctified socialism, government is your friend policies is the stuff that built the company of commissars. What is strange is that one the last remnants of old time conservative solid south politics lives. While not from the region, the Populist message rings from behind bars that separates most constituents from real representation. No it’s not Gore in 2004 that is speaking.

Eulogy for Packy East

In an age when an amateur pugilist became a universal hero, few could deny he was a champion of the world. Using a title less recognized than his given Leslie Townes name, Packy East didn’t make a big splash. The hits he took didn’t come from a Tyson, his skills didn’t float like a butterfly, or sting like a bee. No they taught him that his true talent would come from a different calling. The Pack man would travel to every corner of the world as an ambassador of Hope. Few would forget the joy and laughter that he brought to their town. Most would remember that they felt good and were touched with a little magic from home.

Was Dr Kelly - Vince Fostered?

This time all those conspiracy nuts started their swim from the other side of the pond. We all know that the English are surely above intrigue and sinister deeds, just ask Roberto Calvi, you know “God’s Banker”, as he hung from Blackfriars Bridge. All those suspect and secret financial dealings with the Vatican had the Holy See distance themselves from the ‘suicide’ back in 1987.

Tolerance is not Equality

A tolerant culture has long been acclaimed as a righteous society. While most social indoctrination is designed to foster this fanciful theme, few are willing to ask or examine if this is a desirable goal. A valid conclusion rests upon a correct definition of the nature of tolerance and how it applies to natural arrangements and relationships among different groups. Here are four options to consider:

Robot Wars - Crank Up the Carnage

Just the sound of the words - Robot Wars - summons a futuristic vision of carnage. Could this be the prospective for things to come in combat? Or are we just looking at the next evolution in techniques used to satisfy the natural appetites in human nature? Have the scientists and the techie’s gone mad or are they on the cutting edge of invention that offers the fulfillment of the ambition for the universal soldier? Well, maybe . . . but for now, the masters of mayhem are confined to the sport of entertainment that puts fantasy football to shame.

Just who will pay the debt?

Governments are experts on running up public debts. They are unmatched in spending of every sort and ignoring how to pay for those expenditures. Since they make up the legal tender laws, citizens are required to carry on financial transactions, bound to whatever currency has the official seal. That means that civic obligations are subject to the demands and charges of servicing publicly-financed debts that keep the game of incessant liabilities and an endless cycle for enslavement. The essence of this scheme is that individuals must bear the cost of these debts.

Walking a tightrope at full speed

Think you are walking on a treadmill that is accelerating in speed? Well, before long, you will need to master the skill of running on a tightrope, as the margins narrow and the cord tightens. Falling off the high wire, means plunging a long way onto a hard surface. If you survive the drop, it would be a miracle. At best, you might expect to be a cripple. Those prospects seem all too real for many Americans. Today, the economic future resembles the example of an emerging third world country, more than the dominate cradle of wealth creation. Primitive developing societies seems to be gaining energy, while our mature economy is losing steam. Is this a coincidence or are results just conforming to a well thought out plan?

Supreme Justice from a Court?

Well, this may be the season for the long rumored retirements from the Supreme Court. As speculation grows, and factions position themselves to go to battle, will confirmation hearings turn into the Borking of another jurist or two? With the prospects of another shameful saga, one might imagine that the majority on such a court could pick the next president! Appointees for life become entrenched political creatures - who would think it possible? It seems like the liberals, and those who claim to be progressive, are determined to forestall anybody remotely tainted with that conservative label. For these groups, a strict constructionist is anyone who can read the text of a law and rules on its constitutionality based upon the original document. Far too dangerous to have such judges elevated to the top court.

The Game Politicians Play

The career political class is the quintessential predatory clique. If you remember and understand any aspect about politics, let it be the nature of the people who devote their lives to a band of thieves. Forget about the seeming dissimilarities in ideology, the political culture maintains a common conduct. Ignore the rhetoric that resembles opposing viewpoints, the club of controllers protect each other. And if you ever believed in heroes and are still waiting for a savior, your disappointment will eventually turn into despair. What sustains the process of government is the deception of its vice and the refusal of the public to admit that the game never changes. The charlatans that are attracted to become players in this adventure of egotism, are filled with enough vanity to pay off the federal debt. The sheer idea that a lifetime devoted to national service is a noble pursuit, corrupts the body politic and perverts anyone who dreams of change, while yearning for public adoration.

Omnipresent Privacy

Look around you, your life has become an open book. Think privacy is guaranteed in the US Constitution? Well, if it is not spelled out clearly, at least court decisions agree it is implicit. But when did any judicial decision protect the rights of individuals for any length of time? When the powers that be decide that their interests require, the collection and use of the three I’s - integral information intrusion - we all lose our intimacy.  The real world is comprised of some very wicked and sinister forces that claim they are guardians of your trust. Their conduct demands full disclosure of your most personal and intimate details. Why is this necessary? Surely, it isn’t essential! Certainly, unanimity on the desirability of retaining the privacy of your own dignity should be above debate.

Feminists Serve Secular Humanism

Who can deny that much of the current condition of Western Society can be attributed to the secular perspective of popular culture? Most of the extreme changes in the last hundred year have been asserted under the argument of equality for all. The mantra of the secular relativism, as expressed in the Humanist Manifesto I, rest upon the central tenet  - Religious humanists regard the universe as self-existing and not created.

“Clear Thinking” Counterfeit Conservatives

Propaganda has become the normal diet for what passes as today’s popular political discourse. Facts now have pliable reality, as language is twisted to fit the circumstance. Linguistic analysis is practiced with a purity of the social relativist. Timeless standards, once unassailable and founded in inimitable certainty, are routinely discarded for the flavor of the day truth, as the situation demands. The hijacking and insidious appropriation of the monogram - CONSERVATIVE - its authentic philosophy, tradition and meaning, is systemically betrayed. At the core of the phony falsifiers is the conduct to deceive, with the motive to control and rule.

In Greenspan We Trust

Coming as a mild surprise, the premature announcement by President George W. Bush of another term for Alan Greenspan at the Federal Reserve helm, ending speculation about the White House plans, after a rift over the need for new tax cuts. Ari Fleischer comments: "The president thinks he has done a very able job as a steward of the economy, making certain that we had the proper monetary policies in place".

Deconstructing Sodomy

Senator Rick Santorum, Republican from Pennsylvania, is the latest target from the maniacal ‘PC’ cultists. This time their sensibilities have been insulted for exposing the obvious. Now we hear calls for his scalp from disturbed, subverted and unfulfilled malcontents. What was his sin? Pointing out the public reality, oh no! Speaking out has been a banned function if it violates protected taboos. His transgression is that he dares challenge that forbidden behavior is foul. Such conduct as this, condemns the good senator to the chamber of the damned. For isn’t this the society where perversion is the national past time? Sport - it takes talent to play this ball game . . .

Political Pataphysics of the State

Any attempt to understand the condition of modern society must address the long assault and reputation of traditional values and the metaphysics that supports those moral mores. Many social scholars will dissect political philosophies and compare and contrast civic movements, while most ignore the subject of truth, sought in the study of being - ontology, and the study of the structure of the universe - cosmology. This lack of axiomatic foundation is a fatal flaw. Sparse attention is given to the unseen, as inexhaustible concentration is given to the systems and institutions of organization. This fault inevitably brings rise to the invention of abstract substitutes for the belief, role and function of religion. During an era of nonconformity 1957-1973, Evergreen Review became the bible for a generation of radicals and free thinkers.

Americans Always Love a Winner

A constant theme in an American’s self image is that they are part of a country of winners. The United States is the best and the rest of the world envies us. Oh, if it were true! In the long panorama of western civilization, the promise of a nation where the people were above the government, was a shining star. It’s not surprising that such a population would have a healthy psyche and confidence that their abilities could accomplish lasting achievements. Isn’t this the country we all want to be proud of and wish to pass on to our children?

The Petro-Dollar and the EURO

War is always about achieving a political end. Even holy wars seek to impose a secular control over the vanquished. At the root of every political conflict, lies the MONEY component. On the scale of greed or fear, international discords can slide up or down. Depending on the circumstances or demands, governments rally domestic populations to accept their foreign interventionist goals. Claims of altruistic liberation are fictitious, when the rhetoric is stripped away and the real substance is exposed. Notwithstanding, variances of emphasis; the motive of money underpins the movements of all military confrontations.

How did this war get started?

Now that the cake walk in Iraq has been proven less a stroll in the park than the media first described it, what can be gleamed at this stage in the conflict? No rational person can deny the huge superiority of warlike destructive systems that the invaders possess and that the vast probability that ultimate submission is inevitable, in a military sense. It’s just the price will be higher than what we were all lead to believe. Prospects of a continuous guerrilla resistance and unconventional combat may well provide the response that more of that lethal power will be less sensitive to collateral damage, as the serious bombing is ratcheted up into high gear.

Sedition a Normal Practice for the Authorities

What is sedition? According to the dictionary it is conduct or language inciting rebellion against the authority of a state - insurrection; rebellion. On the surface it seems that few higher calls of conduct can be attained by the citizen! Now, some will be put back and say to themselves, what does that statement exactly mean? Well, its simple . . . America was created as a country out of a revolution, remember you history or did you get your education at one of those ‘government schools’? Lest you forget all those stuffy white privileged Founding Fathers, were rebels. They were “enemies of the crown” and if caught would be hung! So is it possible that sedition is a proper and moral action?

The Revival of Righteous Outrage

Guess it takes an Irishman to get the record straight. Hardly a heritage of oppression or a tradition of duplicity, those who trace their lineage back from the Emerald Isle, seem to be among the few who have the courage to speak the unspeakable. So when you hear all the condemnation against Pat Buchanan’s crucial essay, Whose War? - you know the article has hit a raw nerve, that deserves to be exposed. Buchanan poses an essential, and long taboo subject, that defines the issue: "We charge that a cabal of polemicists and public officials seek to ensnare our country in a series of wars that are not in America’s interests. We charge them with colluding with Israel to ignite those wars and destroy the Oslo Accords. We charge them with deliberately damaging U.S. relations with every state in the Arab world that defies Israel or supports the Palestinian people’s right to a homeland of their own."
